Root Resorption in the orthodontic practice: A preventative approach

On the basis of updated concepts in the literature, the authors of this paper aim to define several procedures that can provide the clinician with a consistent approach in order to: allow for the identification of the patients and the teeth that are predisposed to resorption; the early diagnosis of its occurrence during treatment; the new orthodontic strategies to be followed once resorption is diagnosed and the post-treatment care in patients that have experienced root resorption.
