The Herbst Appliance – A Variation for the Mixed Dentition

The purpose of this article is twofold: to invite the reader to reflect about the characteristics of the Herbst appliance, used to enable mandibular advancement in the treatment of Class II malocclusions, and to present the variation advocated by the FUNCRAF’s Interceptative Orthodontics Course team, in Bauru - SP, which is marked by rigid upper and lower anchorage appliances.
