The Orthodontics and Periodontics Interaction to Prevent and Control the Gingival Recessions Caused by Orthodontic Treatment

This study was carried out due to the constant presence of the gingival recessions during the therapy and after it’s been done. The interdisciplinar orthodontics and periodontics treatment is necessary to establish an effective program of periodontic maintenance and to assure little damages to the involved tissues during the mechanic. It’s intended to approach the prevalence, etiology, diagnosis, treatment procedures and long-term effects of the orthodontic cases having gingival recessions; aiming objectivity and enlightenment of eventual doubts.
