Speech - Pathologist Evaluation - Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders or Compensatory Situation

The purpose of the present article was to discuss the relationship between form and function relative to stomatognathic system, including tongue-thrust, malocclusions and compensatory myofunctional situations. The speech-pathologist evaluation and its analysis intend to demonstrate that it’s necessary not only to verify the disorder, but also to associate with its cause. The aim of this work is the diagnoses and its correlation, in order to determine the multidisciplinary approach for better results.
