Ortho Freeware: Management Software for Private and School Dental Offices developed by the Orthodontics Graduate Course of Araraquara Dental School / São Paulo State University - UNESP

A computer software to manage Orthodontic and Orthopedic Dental Clinics, named Orthosoft, was developed for Windows operational system, with the use of Microsoft Access 97 applicative. The functional aspects of the software was the priority of the program developing philosophy, based on the main information and the working process of an orthodontic dental office. The prototypes were tested and improved by 26 orthodontists, for over 60 months in the Orthodontic Postgraduate Clinic of Araraquara Dental School/UNESP and also in private clinics. This data bank collects information about the patients (personal data, anamnesis, diagnosis and planning, clinical files and fees), office schedule, financial control and models of practice letters. The use of Orthosoft let the clinical staff to access information in a simple, quick and efficient way, enhancing the quality of the clinical work, the maintenance of the cases and office management.
