Missing upper lateral incisors create a disharmony between upper and lower arches. The treatment of this malocclusion must be based on a careful diagnosis and treatment plan, considering the possibility of orthodontically closing spaces, or a combination of space recuperation by orthodontic mechanics and prosthetic restoration of the missing tooth. Case reports presenting missing upper laterals will be described considering different treatment plans that consisted of space recuperation for osteointegrated implant insertion and closure of spaces. Emphasis will be given to diagnosis and treatment options.
