This paper was developed in order to perform a comparative cephalometric evaluation of the inclination of lower incisors in patients suffering from Class ll, division 1 malocclusion of mandibular retrusion, treated with two different “sketch” of Bionator Appliance. A Bionator with covering of acrylic over-taking the incisor border and covering 1/3 o f vestibular surface of lower incisors without lingual relief of those teeth; and other Bionator with covering of acrylic overtaking the incisor border and covering 1/3 of vestibular surface of lower in-cisors with lingual relief of these teeth. The objective of this study, was to observe if there is difference between the two types of appliances about the incli-nation of lower incisors at the end treatment. It’s known that using this aparatology type, skeletal and dental alterations, favorable and unfavorable, will occur in maxilo-mandibular complex. One of this unfavorable alterations, the lower vestibular inclination incisors when they are generally vestibular inclinated. The 30 patients were submitted to telerradiographs (before and after treatment) being 10 patients that group 1, to call Bionator without lingual relief of the lower incisors; 10 patients that group 2, to call Bionator with lingual relief of the lower incisors and 10 patients that group 3, to call Control group (patients without treatment). At group 1, the measurements IMPA and 1–Bvert, demonstred a big vestibular inclination of the lower incisors; being statistically significant. Other way, it was observed in group 2, that the measurements IMPA and 1–Bvert, showed a better control of vestibular inclination of lower incisors (vestibular change statistically unsignificant); being that many patients maintaining their measurements unchangeble and at the same time decrease at the end of treatment. In group 3 (control) the measurements IMPA and 1–Bvert showed a little tendency of proclination, but statistically unsignificant.
