Evaluation on the Degree of Patient´s Compliance and Acceptance Concerning the use of two Different Types of Removable Appliances

The objective of this pilot study was to compare the patient compliance level in using the eruption guidance appliances and the Fränkel appliance. Additionally, the percentage of patients that required complementary orthodontic treatment with fixed appliances was also compared between the two groups. Results demonstrated that the percentage of compliance was greater and the percentage of patients that required complementary fixed orthodontic treatment was smaller with the eruption guidance appliances as compared to the Fränkel appliance.
