The Importance of Die Stone in the Mounted Casts in the Analysis of Occlusion

The study of occlusion using die stone and casts correctly mounted on the articulator, makes possible to map the sequence of occlusal adjustments and verify the need of combination with other alternative treatments, within the several areas of Dentistry. The procedures of selective cutting of the casts allow the forview of the next steps, but it is impossible to return to the original situation. Thererore, the diagnostic analysis of occlusion, using die stone can be carried out several times, when it is required, returning to the original maxillomandibular relation, due the preservation of the stone casts, during the analysis of the occlusion.
