Employment of Magnetic Forces in Orthodontic and Facial Orthopedics. A review

The main of this article was to review the literature about the use of magnetic forces in Orthodontia and Facial Orthopedics. This work first describe the mechanical appliances as well as of the dynamics used by the magnetized appliances and their results. The employment of the magnets associated to the conventional methods was shown effective in several clinical indications, dental distalization, sleep apnea, intermaxillar forces for correction of Class II and III, openbite and impacted teeth.
