Rational procedures for orthodontic diagnosis in centric relation

Due to the importance of analyzing orthodontic cases in centric relation at the initial examination, the objective of this paper is to rationalize the procedure of obtaining this diagnostic position according to each patient’s characteristics in order to provide a greater clinical efficiency. Additionally, alternate procedures are suggested to provide a correct treatment planning, according to the amount of discrepancy between centric relation and centric occlusion presented by the patients.
