Composite resin has been widely used to restore posterior teeth and attend patients’ aesthetic requirements. Despite progress in its composition and mechanical properties, the main disadvantage of composite resin is its inevitable polymerization shrinkage, of which stress can reduce bonding interface quality. This article presents the clinical application of a self-leveling flowable composite resin with self-modulation polymerization, which aims to reduce polymerization shrinkage stress, besides simplifying the restorative procedure and reducing clinical time.
