Class III malocclusion treatment by means of dentoalveolar compensation

The compensatory orthodontic treatment of dental Class III malocclusion may be adopted when the facial features of the patient is esthetically acceptable. The objective of this perspective treatment is essentially to improve the dental relationships, removing the excrescences, and maintaining the facial relationships. The present paper aims to illustrate, through a clinical case, a therapeutic sequence of compensatory orthodontic treatment in a Pattern III young adult male patient showing moderate maxillary deficiency. The Class III compensatory treatment was finished in 23 months reaching the proper occlusal relationship.
