Class II division 1 subdivision malocclusion, with mandibular asymmetry in a growing patient

Guilherme Thiesen

This article reports the orthodontic treatment of a Class II division 1 malocclusion, left subdivision with mandibular asymmetry during the growth period. The patient showed upper midline deviation and lack of space for eruption of tooth #13. Treatment goals were to correct the sagittal relationship between the arches, to correct the midlines, to make room for the eruption of the tooth #13, to monitor and try to control the skeletal asymmetry. At the end of treatment coordination of arches was achieved and a good dental interdigitation was obtained.
