When defining a treatment plan for anterior open bite, diagnosing its etiology and severity is essential, especially when it comes to adult patients. Thus, this article aims at presenting the clinical case of a patient presenting Class II malocclusion and anterior open bite, in which asymmetric extractions were performed, added to intermaxillary elastics mechanics to improve bite closure, and correction of sagittal Class II relationship. As a result, closure of the patient’s bite and normalization of the occlusal relationship, function and aesthetics, with a slight improvement of the facial profile were achieved.
