Abstract: Orthognathic surgery is a well established treatment approach and indicated in severe dentofacial deformities that extrapolates the conventional orthodontic treatment. Severe Long Face Pattern patients are usually candidates for orthodontic-surgical treatment due to impairment of facial aesthetics, occlusal and functional abnormalities that can affect their appearance and consequently social life. In the present article, we aim to discuss a case of a female patient, Long Face Pattern with severe facial deformity associated with a functional imbalance, submitted to orthodontic-surgical treatment.
